Who Dental Implants Can Help
I often recommend dental implants for patients who are missing teeth and want a long‑term solution that feels as close to natural teeth as possible. Dental implants may be a good fit if you:
- Are missing one or more teeth
- Struggle with a loose or uncomfortable partial or denture
- Want to avoid drilling on healthy neighboring teeth for a traditional bridge
- Want a solution you do not take in and out every day
During your visit, I will examine your teeth, gums, and bite and review your medical history and bone levels. Not every patient is a candidate for implants right away. Some may need other treatment first, or a different solution such as a bridge or denture may be better. If another option would serve you better, I will explain why and walk you through those choices in clear language.

How Dental Implants Work
- We evaluate your mouth and bone
At your visit, your dentist reviews your health history, examines your teeth and gums, takes X‑rays, and, when needed, orders 3D imaging to evaluate the bone in the area of the missing tooth. - We design a treatment plan
Based on your situation, we plan the number of implants, the type of restoration, and any steps needed before placement, such as treating gum disease or removing unsalvageable teeth. - We place the implant and allow healing
A small titanium post is placed in the bone where the tooth root used to be. Over time, the bone heals and bonds with the implant so it can support a new tooth. - We restore the implant with a custom tooth
Once the implant is stable, we take impressions and place a custom crown, bridge, or denture on top. We adjust the bite so it feels comfortable when you chew and speak.

Our team will ask a few easy questions so we understand your situation.
Step 2: We match you to the right first visit
Based on what you share, we will:
- Note whether you have dental insurance or not
- Check whether you are new to the clinic or already a patient here
- Ask about pain, chewing comfort, and how long the tooth has been missing
Then we will recommend the best way to start, such as:
- A new patient visit with implant and replacement planning.
- A "Happy & Healthy Smile Assessment" if you are uninsured or out‑of‑network and want a full picture and plan
- A focused consult if you are already a patient and want to discuss implant options for a specific area
Step 3: Meet with your dentist and decide together
At your visit, your dentist will:
- Listen to what you want to be able to eat and how you want your smile to look
- Examine your mouth and review necessary imaging
- Explain whether implants are appropriate and what steps are involved
- Walk through timing, cost, and how insurance or membership may apply

Dental implants are a larger investment than many other treatments, but for many patients they are also the most stable, long‑term solution. Insurance coverage for implants varies: some plans contribute to parts of the treatment, while others consider implants an exclusion. Before you move forward, you receive a written plan that outlines:
- The estimated cost for implant placement and the final crown, bridge, or denture
- Any expected insurance contribution and your portion, when applicable
- Explore monthly payment and flexible financing options
For patients without dental insurance, the "Happy & Healthy Smile Membership" offers a simple way to manage ongoing care:
- A flat fee, paid once per year
- All routine exams and X‑rays included
- 15% savings on most cleanings and treatment, including restorative and cosmetic care such as clear aligners
- No savings on whitening, Botox, or retail products (these have their own dedicated plans)
The membership is a savings plan, not insurance, and it cannot be combined with insurance or other discounts.
